TRUSTED ATLANTIC CANADIAN DEALER
Why Should You Buy From Us?
Before the 1980s, if you wanted a small van, the Volkswagen Bus was it. When Chrysler rolled out the Canadian-built Plymouth Voyager and Dodge Caravan in 1983, the market suddenly shifted away from wagons to minivans. Today’s minivan models include the Toyota Sienna, Dodge Grand Caravan, Honda Odyssey, Chrysler Pacifica and Kia Sedona. Minivans are big on passenger carrying space, with room for seven or eight. Rear sliding doors provide ease of access to the second and third rows, which also fold down. Such models also tow, making them perhaps the best all-around vehicle for families that aren’t a crossover.
2. Pickup Trucks
Where would be without pickup trucks? Trucks have been built for more than 100 years, initially providing farmers and commercial operators with the vehicles they needed to conduct business. Fortunately, pickups have changed down through the years and are a suitable alternative for many Canadians. They blast through snow, tow and carry passengers and can haul cargo. Popular large models include the Chevrolet Silverado, Ram 1500, Ford F-150 and Toyota Tundra. Smaller trucks include the Toyota Tacoma, GMC Canyon, Chevrolet Colorado and Nissan Frontier. The Honda Ridgeline is back and if you can find a Dodge Dakota or Ford Ranger, you’ve got a winner on your hands.
3. Utility Vehicles
What’s the vehicle offering the best blend of pickup truck utility and car comfort? Why, that would be crossover utility vehicles, today’s SUV of choice. Based on car platforms to supply a more comfortable ride, today’s crossovers can do it all: carry five to eight people, tow, hold cargo and win on slippery roads. Among the smallest used car models, you’ll find such vehicles as the Nissan Juke, Mazda CX-, Toyota RAV4, Ford Escape and Honda CR-V. Larger models include the Hyundai Santa Fe, Chevrolet Traverse, Honda Pilot, Ford Explorer and Dodge Durango. Yes, Jeep is well represented with models such as the Compass, Cherokee, Wrangler and Grand Cherokee for your consideration.
Step back a few decades and cars were the dominate passenger vehicles — coupes, sedans, hatchback, wagons and convertibles. It seemed we couldn’t get enough of them. Then again, other than pickup trucks and a handful of SUVs, there wasn’t much else out there.Today, car demand is way down, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find what you want. In fact, because demand is down, prices are lower too.Among the smallest used car models are the Smart ForTwo and Mini Cooper. Step up to the subcompacts and you’ll find the Honda Fit, Ford Fiesta, Toyota Yaris, Chevrolet Sonic, Kia Rio and Hyundai Accent. Compact models include the Ford Focus, Toyota Corolla, Nissan Sentra and Dodge Dart. Among midsize models, you’ll find the Chrysler 200, Toyota Camry, Chevrolet Malibu, Honda Accord and the Kia Optima. Yes, there are still some large sedans built, such as the Chevrolet Impala, Ford Taurus, Toyota Avalon and Dodge Charger. Sporty cars include the Chevrolet Corvette and Camaro, Dodge Challenger and Ford Mustang.
